Below is a detailed guide on everything you need to know about recording a video in OneMob.
What is different?
We have consolidated all recording capabilities (aside from our mobile app recording on Android and iOS) into one button where you can easily begin to record your videos. Another update is that you can now record your Screen or Screen & Webcam without the need for a Chrome extension. Simply select the screen, window, or tab that you would like to share in your video and begin recording!

Which web browsers support the OneMob recording options?
The recording options will work properly without the need to configure settings on your computer for the following web browsers.
- Firefox
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
Our current recording options do not function within the Safari web browser. Please use one of the browsers mentioned above to use the recording options.
Accessing the Recording Options
1. Click on the plus icon in the top left corner of your dashboard.
2. Click on Record Video.
3. Click on one of the three options to record 1. only via webcam, 2. only your screen, or 3. both via webcam and your screen.
Differences Between the Recording Options
Webcam
Record a video using your computer's integrated webcam or select to use an external webcam (if applicable). The audio for the video will be recorded using your computer's internal microphone, and the option to record audio using an external microphone is available as well (if applicable).
Our webcam recorder has the capability to record video in 1080p (HD). If you have a camera that supports 1080p (HD) recording, the webcam recorder will recognize and record in 1080p (HD). If you have an integrated webcam that only supports 720p video quality, your recording will continue to be in 720p. This statement also applies for the screen & webcam recording option.
Screen
Record a video of your computer screen with the option to have audio be recorded from your computer's internal microphone or an external microphone (if applicable). The option for no audio to be recorded is also available. For the screen recording options, the following options are available.
- Screen: Record your entire screen.
- If using an external monitor, the option is available to specify the selection of which screen will be recorded.
- Tip: Great for PowerPoint presentations with the capability of being able to include a webcam screen on the corner (or split view) of the video!
- Window: Record an entire window.
- Select a specific window to record. Any action completed on other windows will not be recorded or shown in the finalized recording.
- Tab: Record only the specified tab.
- Select a specific tab to record. Any action completed on other tabs will not be recorded or shown in the finalized recording.
Screen & Webcam
Record a video using your webcam as well as include a screen recording of your computer. All comments applicable for screen are also applicable for the screen & webcam recording option. After selecting the screen & webcam option, there is a drop-down menu to pre-select the positioning of the webcam. The webcam will not be visible in the position selected while recording but will appear in the pre-selected position in the finalized recording.

- (C) Search for a script by the title.

- preview the video by clicking the play icon in the center of the video.
