Applying a Custom Thumbnail
Once you have prepared the image you would like to use, follow the steps below to replace the thumbnail image for any video, document, or URL in either your OneMob Library or Landing Page.
For Content in the OneMob Library
Replace your Video's Thumbnail:
- Head to your Library
- Find your video and click on it
- At the top of the right sidebar, click Edit Thumbnail
- The thumbnail editor will appear with multiple options for how to create a new thumbnail.
- Use Video: Generate a thumbnail using the video. Use the slider in the video to select a frame. Click Generate once you've found a good frame. A preview of your thumbnail will appear in the "Preview Result" box.
- Use Webcam: Generate a thumbnail using your webcam. Select Use Webcam. Your webcam will appear in the video window and you can take a picture by clicking Generate. A preview of your thumbnail will appear in the "Preview Result" box.
- Upload: Upload an image from your PC to use as a thumbnail. Click the Upload button. Select an image from your computer, drag and drop an image directly on the window, or choose a 3rd party service to select an image from. Crop your image to the desired size. Click Save. Click Upload. A preview of your thumbnail will appear in the "Preview Result" box.
- Note: Your new video thumbnail image should be 640 x 360 pixels. If not, you will be able to crop the image but may lose some of the image resolution.
- Pick from Library: Upload an image that is in your OneMob Library. Click Pick from Library. Choose an image from those within your Library. Click Select. A preview of your thumbnail will appear in the "Preview Result" box.
- Click Reset Thumbnail if the result from any of the options above is not what you were looking for.
- Once you've created a thumbnail, click Save. Your custom thumbnail should replace the old thumbnail once the upload is complete.
- We will automatically generate a version of the thumbnail with a play button in the center. This may take a few minutes.
Replace a Document or URL's Thumbnail:
- Head to your Library
- Find your document or URL and click on it
- At the top of the right sidebar click Edit Thumbnail
- The thumbnail editor will appear with two options for how to create a new thumbnail.
- Upload: Upload an image from your PC to use as a thumbnail. Click the Upload button. Select an image from your computer, drag and drop an image directly on the window, or choose a 3rd party service to select an image from. Crop your image to the desired size. Click Save. Click Upload. A preview of your thumbnail will appear in the "Preview Result" box.

Documents, Links, and Images on your Landing Page
- Go to your Pages
- Create a new page, or edit a page you have previously created. To edit a previously created page hover over the one you'd like to edit and click it - you'll be directed to the Page Editor.
- Add your document, link, or image below your main video by clicking + Add Content
- Your document or link will appear next to + Add Content. To edit the thumbnail click the gear icon on the top right of your document, link, or image and hover over Edit Thumbnail.
- The option to either Pick Thumbnail or Upload Thumbnail will appear.
- Choose an option from above and upload the image you would like to replace the thumbnail with.
How do I resize my image?
For Window PC
- You can resize your image in "Microsoft Paint" or "Paint".
- Press "Ctrl + W" to bring up the Resize and skew menu. Use this in combination with Crop to get the right size.
For Mac
- You can resize your image in "Preview"
- Go to Tools > Adjust Size to adjust the image size. Use this in combination with Crop to get the right size.
