What is OneScreen?
OneScreen is a Chrome extension that allows you to record via webcam or record your computer screen, which saves right into your OneMob Library. Great for presentations, tutorial videos, and more!

Download OneScreen
- Open Content on the left slide out tab
- Click on
- Click on Screen + Webcam
- Click
on the pop-up website
- Confirm by clicking Add extension in the pop-up
OR
- Open your Chrome web browser
- Go to Chrome web store for OneScreen
- Click
- Confirm by clicking Add extension in the pop-up
The OneScreen icon should appear in the top right corner of your browser!
Note: If the OneScreen icon does not appear on your Chrome browser after downloading you may need to pin it, click here for how to do so.
Record with OneScreen
Note:
1. Start by clicking on the OneScreen Icon
Click on the OneScreen icon located on the top right corner of your Chrome browser to bring up the recording options.
2. Recording Options
- There are three recording options:
- Tab
- Record only the current Chrome tab
- Screen
- Record your entire screen (not just your Chrome browser!)
- Tip: Great for PowerPoint presentations with the capability of now being able to include a Webcam screen on the corner of the video!

- Record via Webcam
- Tab
3. Select Camera/Microphone
To enable/disable the camera and/or microphone for any of these 3 options, select their respective drop-down menus.
- If you have multiple microphones, you can select which microphone you would like to use by clicking on the respective drop-down and choosing your preferred microphone. If problems persist, learn how to select your microphone here.
- Advanced Settings (for Tab and Screen recordings)
- Camera Position & Camera Size
- You can simultaneously record your Tab/Screen and yourself via Webcam by leaving the Camera enabled.
- Through Advanced Settings, you can decide where to display your Webcam on the screen.
- The size of the Webcam displayed can be changed by clicking on the Size drop-down menu and deciding between 'Small', 'Medium', or 'Large'.
- NOTE: Once you start recording your video the Webcam screen will not appear on your screen, but it will be present on the preview window.
- If you would like to record your Tab or Screen without webcam, choose 'None' in the camera drop-down from the recording settings (previous screen).
- NOTE: OneScreen will not open if your camera is being used in another application.

4. Click "Start" to record your video
Camera Only
- When recording with the Camera Only option, the recording will only start after clicking on the red button that appears next to the webcam window.
- It will automatically start recording after a 3 second countdown.
- NOTE: If you decide to toggle off the countdown on the webcam window, once you click the red button it will immediately begin recording.

- With the Camera Only option you also have access to Scripts! To access Scripts, simply click Use Script on the bottom right corner of the Webcam window. You can then decide from My, Shared, Starred, or All scripts. To create a new script simply click
on the top left corner of the Webcam window. Once the new script has been created, simply click on
.
- The ability to increase the font size and speed for a Script can be done by clicking on Text Settings after choosing a Script.
- To increase or decrease font size, simply click on the
or
respectively.
- For the speed in which the script scrolls, move the circle up or down along the speed toggle.
- NOTE: Script capabilities are only available on the Camera Only option.
Tab or Screen
- For Tab or Screen recording, it will immediately start recording.
- NOTE: You can activate a countdown for Tab or Screen by choosing the "On" option in the Advanced Settings drop-down countdown tab. A "3, 2, 1" will appear in the middle of your screen before the recording begins.
- If you have chosen Screen, you will be asked to select which part of the screen you wish to share. Select from the options that pop up and click Start Recording.
5. Pause or Finish Recording
While you are recording, an icon to Pause your recording and an arrow to Finish your Recording will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen (or next to your webcam window, if enabled).
You can also finish your recording by clicking on the OneScreen icon along your Chrome extensions.
- Pause Button
- Pause your recording. Click again to resume.
- Arrow
- Finish your recording. A new tab will open, where your video will be processed.
6. Preview & Save
- Select a Watermark
- Watermarks are located directly below the preview video. If you have any watermarks available, select a watermark to apply it.
- Only an Administrator may add additional watermarks.
- Save to Library
- Save the video to your OneMob Library. Click here to head there now.
- Discard
- Delete your recording permanently and start over.
