How to get the Outlook Plugin for OneMob
- Go to your Outlook (desktop or online)
- Click New Email (desktop) or New Message (online) at the top left of either application
- Go to Get Add-ins
- Desktop: Click the Get Add-ins icon at the top right of the application.
- Online: In the same line as where the "Send" and "Discard" buttons are, go to the three dots that are on the right hand side. Click the three dots and in the drop down select the Get Add-ins option.
- In the Add-ins for Outlook window (desktop or online) click the My add-ins tab on the left hand side
- Scroll down to "Custom Add-ins" and click the + Add a custom add-in hyperlink. in the drop down select the Add from URL... option.
- Input the URL that was sent to you in the pop up and click OK
How to open the Outlook Plugin for OneMob
- Go to your Outlook and click New Email (desktop) or New Message (online) at the top left of either application.
- Go to the OneMob plug in
- Desktop: In the top toolbar you will need to click an arrow until you see the OneMob logo appear at the right of the new message window.
- Online: In the same line as where the "Send" and "Discard" buttons are, click the three dots that are on the right hand side.
- Desktop: In the top toolbar you will need to click an arrow until you see the OneMob logo appear at the right of the new message window.
- Click the OneMob icon to open OneMob in Outlook. If you have not logged in you will be directed to Login. Enter your OneMob credentials and click Log in.
How to use the Outlook Plugin for OneMob
- Hover and select the video you would like to add to the email you are creating
- To add a video someone has shared to your organization or a team you are a part of click the three lines that are next to the magnifying glass. From there make sure to click the box to the left of the Shared by everyone text. If you want to see videos shared within your team click "everyone" and select the appropriate team in the drop down.

- Once you've selected your video you can add the video to your email by clicking Add to Email (proceed to Step 5) or you can click More Options (proceed to Step 3).
- By clicking Add to Email a thumbnail will automatically appear in your email composer with a "Watch Video" hyperlink. Adjust the size of the thumbnail by highlighting the image (click one of the boxes and drag to size) or doing a right click on your mouse and selecting Size and Position.
- Once you have added the video and included your Subject line and Body text you can click the Send button (may need to click the arrow in the toolbar to have the Send button be visible if you are on desktop).
- A link was automatically created in your OneMob. You can go to your Link in the Link tab of OneMob > hover and select the link > and you'll be able to view Link Details (watch time, link opened, etc.).
- If you selected More Options you can do the following:
- Turn ON Animated Thumbnail: Click the toggle button to turn on an Animated Thumbnail that will create a loop of the first 3 seconds of your video.
- Note: The image quality of the thumbnail may be diminished to allow for faster upload on viewers email provider.
- Add More Content: Click here to add content such as images, URLs, documents, PDFs, other videos, etc. If you want to add content that has been shared with you view the first bullet point below Step 1.
- Use a Page: Click here to add a page you have created that has content that relates to the Featured Video you have selected. If you want to use a page that has been shared with you view the first bullet point below Step 1.
- Settings: Look below for a list of explanations.
- Email Notifications - Receive notifications via email the instant activity occurs.
- Require Email to View - This option will enable each viewer to enter their email address upon clicking the link to view your content.
- Set Expiration Date - Use this option to pick a date and time for when the link to your content will become invalid. Time zone is displayed according to what your browser is set to.
- Set Password - Create a unique password for viewers to be able to access your content.
- Track to a contact - Track the activities from the link to a specific email or contact. (Only if you have Salesforce or MS Dynamics connected)
- Preview: Opens a preview window of what the link will look like to those who receive it.
- Turn ON Animated Thumbnail: Click the toggle button to turn on an Animated Thumbnail that will create a loop of the first 3 seconds of your video.
- Once you have adjusted the options above you can select to Start Over or Add to Email. If you select Start Over please refer back to Step 1. If you selected Add to Email continue to Step 5.
