Salesforce AppExchange Package Post-Installation (Configuration)

Note: The AppExchange package is currently not available for free trial users.

After installing the OneMob AppExchange package, follow these steps to configure OneMob on Salesforce.

1. Pre-Authorize User Profiles

(If you are on Salesforce Group or Professional Edition, skip this step)

1. Click on your name in the top right corner of the screen.

2. Click Setup and type “Connected Apps” in the quick search on the left sidebar.

3. Click Connected Apps > OneMob > Edit Policies

4. Under the Permitted Users dropdown, select Admin Approved users are pre-authorized. Click Save.

5. You should have been returned to the Connected App Detail page. Scroll down to the "Profile" section and click on Manage Profiles. Add any profiles you want to allow OneMob access to.

2. Add “Send OneMob” button to Lead Detail Page Layout

(If you are on Salesforce Group or Professional Edition, skip this step)

1. Click on your name in the top right corner of the screen.

2. Click Setup and type “Leads” in the quick search on the left sidebar. Under Leads, click Page Layouts.

3. Click Edit next to the Lead page layout you want to add the Send OneMob button to.

4.  Under "Lead Layout", click Buttons from the left hand list, then drag and drop the Send OneMob button into the “Custom Buttons” area.

3. Add "OneMob Messages" Related List on Lead Page Layout

1. Refer back to "Lead Layout". Click Related Lists from the left hand list, then drag and drop the OneMob Message list into the "Related Lists" area.

2. Once you have added the OneMob Messages, we recommend you do the following:

  • Click the “wrench” Properties icon and add/remove the fields from Available Fields and Selected Fields until you have the following fields showing: Message ID, Type, Date Sent, Subject, Email Last Opened, Last Known Location, # of Email Opens, # of Plays, # of Responses

  • Still in the Properties section, in the “Sort By” dropdown, choose Date Sent and check Descending

  • Still in Properties, expand the “Buttons” section by clicking the (+) button

  • In the “Buttons” section uncheck New and click OK

3. Click Save.

4. Add "Send OneMob" button to Lead List Views

(If you are on Salesforce Group or Professional Edition, skip this step)

1. Type "Leads" in the quick search on the left. Under Leads, click Search Layouts.

2. Then click Edit for Leads List View.

3. Select the “Send OneMob” button under Available Buttons. Click Add to add the “Send OneMob” button under Selected Buttons. Then click Save.

Summary
To summarize, four things occurred here (unless you were instructed to skip):

  2. The Send OneMob button was added to the Lead Page Layout.
  3. The OneMob Messages list was added to the Lead Page Layout.
  4. Another Send OneMob button was added to the List View (list of Leads/Contacts).
